WASHINGTON, D.C.—Omega Network For Action, Inc. (ONFA), a national 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to advocacy, education, economics, and empowerment, proudly endorses Shawn Harris for the United States Congress in Georgia’s 14th District.
Shawn Harris embodies the very definition of service, leadership, and perseverance. Raised on his family’s farm in Blakely, Georgia, he understands firsthand the values of hard work, discipline, and community. Those values guided him to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant, demonstrating early his commitment to protecting and serving this nation.
A proud graduate of Tuskegee University, Shawn earned his degree in Agribusiness and became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.. His time at Tuskegee not only shaped his academic and professional trajectory, but also grounded him in a legacy of leadership, scholarship, and uplift.
Following the attacks of September 11, Shawn answered the call once again, serving as an infantry commander in Afghanistan where he led troops in combat. His courage extended beyond the battlefield, as he later led a mission into Liberia during the Ebola outbreak and served as a senior military advisor across the globe. His distinguished career is marked by numerous honors for leadership and valor, as well as advanced study at the Army War College, where he earned a degree in Strategic Studies.
In his previous campaign as the 2024 nominee, Shawn Harris demonstrated his ability to unite people across political lines. Building a coalition of Democrats, Independents, and common-sense Republicans, he earned more votes than any Democratic candidate in the district in over a decade. That momentum reflects not only his message, but his authenticity and commitment to the people of Northwest Georgia.
Shawn Harris is not a candidate who walks away from a challenge. He is returning to the race with a clear purpose—to finish the fight for working families, to strengthen communities, and to ensure that Northwest Georgia remains a place where opportunity, safety, and prosperity are accessible to all.
