A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, Qasim Rashad embodies a deep-rooted commitment to community, service, and leadership. A graduate with honors from Martin Luther King, Jr. High School and a proud alumnus of Dillard University, he has consistently demonstrated the value of education as a foundation for opportunity and progress. His journey reflects both personal discipline and a lifelong dedication to uplifting those around him.
A committed servant leader, Qasim actively gives his time to initiatives that strengthen the community. From mentoring students through HBCU tours to participating in literacy efforts like Read Across America, he has remained hands-on in ensuring that the next generation is equipped with both vision and access. His grassroots political experience as both a city committee person and state committee person demonstrates a clear understanding of the needs, concerns, and priorities of the people he seeks to represent.
As a faith leader and community anchor, Qasim has provided guidance and stability through his role as Amir of United Muslim Masjid and United Muslim Islamic Center of Philadelphia. His leadership reflects a belief in unity, service, and accountability. As a small business owner and President of Final Mile Technologies, he also brings real-world experience in economic development, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
