WASHINGTON, D.C.—Omega Network For Action, Inc. (ONFA), a national 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to advocacy, education, economics, and empowerment, proudly endorses Aaron Ford for Governor of Nevada.
Aaron Ford understands the struggles of working families because he has lived them. Raised in a working-class family, he saw his parents work hard to keep food on the table and the lights on. As a young father, he relied on Medicaid, food stamps, and public education to help build a path forward. That lived experience shaped his commitment to public service and his determination to ensure that every Nevada family has a fair chance to get ahead.
Ford’s journey reflects discipline, perseverance, and a lifelong belief in education as a force for opportunity. He earned five degrees, including a Ph.D. in education and a law degree, while raising four sons with his wife, Berna. He went on to serve as a public school math teacher, Nevada Senate Majority Leader, and Nevada Attorney General, building a record of leadership grounded in service, fairness, and results.
In 2019, Aaron Ford became the first Black Attorney General in Nevada history. In that role, he has taken on powerful interests on behalf of Nevada families, including opioid profiteers, corporate landlords, predatory lenders, scam artists, and fraudsters targeting seniors, workers, and families. His record as Attorney General includes delivering more than $1 billion in opioid crisis settlements, cracking down on fentanyl traffickers and ghost guns, suing insurance companies over denied coverage, and standing up for Nevadans when government policies harmed the state.
As Senate Majority Leader, Ford fought to raise pay for state police and public employees, expanded collective bargaining rights for workers, helped balance the budget during difficult times, and worked across the aisle with Republican Governor Brian Sandoval to diversify Nevada’s economy and bring good-paying jobs to the state. His record demonstrates the ability to lead with conviction while building coalitions to move Nevada forward.
As a candidate for Governor, Aaron Ford is focused on building an affordable Nevada. His priorities include housing affordability, health care, energy, education, jobs, and the economy. He has pledged to address the housing crisis, lower prescription drug costs, relieve medical debt, protect consumers from price gouging and fraudulent billing, expand clean and affordable energy, and strengthen public education so that every student has a fair chance to succeed.
