WASHINGTON, D.C.—Omega Network For Action, Inc. (ONFA), a national 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to advocacy, education, economics, and empowerment, proudly endorses Scott Colom for the United States Senate in Mississippi.
Scott Colom represents the kind of grounded, service-centered leadership Mississippi deserves. A seventh-generation Mississippian, proud husband, father of two, and District Attorney, Colom has dedicated his career to protecting families, strengthening communities, and putting Mississippi first. Guided by his Christian faith and a deep love for his home state, he has built a public record rooted in accountability, public safety, and practical results.
Born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi, Scott’s story reflects both legacy and responsibility. He is the son of retired Judge Dorothy Colom, the first African American elected to her region’s Chancery Court, and Wilbur Colom, an attorney whose public service background shaped Scott’s commitment to civic leadership. As a lifelong member of Missionary Union Baptist Church, and as someone who gives back through coaching youth sports and mock trial, Colom understands that leadership begins with service close to home.
Scott Colom has served Mississippi as a prosecutor, judge, and District Attorney. Elected District Attorney in 2015 at just 32 years old, he defeated a 27-year incumbent while running on a reform platform focused on prioritizing resources to hold violent offenders accountable. As District Attorney, he has surged resources to prosecute violent crimes, closed a record number of cold cases, secured convictions in major murder cases, and earned a strong record of courtroom success.
Colom’s leadership is also defined by his understanding that safer communities require both accountability and opportunity. He has emphasized that preventing crime means holding those who harm communities responsible while also expanding access to jobs, stability, and pathways for families to thrive. That balanced approach reflects the values ONFA believes are essential to building stronger communities across Mississippi and the nation.
As a candidate for the United States Senate, Scott Colom is focused on lowering costs for families, protecting Mississippi hospitals, bringing good jobs home, and working with anyone, Democrat or Republican, to deliver results for the people of Mississippi. His campaign reflects a clear commitment to rural communities, working families, health care access, economic opportunity, and public safety.
ONFA is confident that Scott Colom’s record of public service, his commitment to justice and community safety, and his ability to build broad coalitions make him uniquely qualified to represent Mississippi in the United States Senate.
We are proud to stand with Scott Colom and strongly encourage voters to support his campaign.
