Born and raised in South Los Angeles, Dr. Hall has spent his career fighting for justice, opportunity, and fairness. From serving on the Compton Unified School District Board of Trustees to the Compton City Council, California State Assembly, and State Senate, he has consistently delivered results—strengthening public safety, expanding access to healthcare, improving education, protecting workers’ rights, and promoting responsible fiscal management.
As a current member of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board, Dr. Hall ensures that California’s labor policies uphold dignity, fairness, and accountability. His track record of managing budgets, overseeing complex agencies, and standing up for working people demonstrates the fiscal integrity and moral clarity needed to steward the city’s finances effectively.
