Omega Network for Action Unveils Strategic Plan to Win the 2026 Midterm Elections

by Omega Network for Action

Omega Network for Action (ONFA) convened brothers and supporters nationwide for a timely and strategic webinar outlining its comprehensive plan to secure victories in the 2026 midterm elections.

With primaries already beginning and the general election scheduled for November 3, 2026, ONFA leadership emphasized that preparation must begin now. The session opened with prayer and remarks from fraternity leadership, affirming alignment between Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and ONFA’s civic engagement mission.

A National Strategy Rooted in Local Action

ONFA’s 2026 Get Out The Vote (GOTV) strategy is built around one clear objective:

Mobilize Omega Men nationwide to help secure victory for candidates aligned with collective priorities in U.S. House, Senate, gubernatorial, and local races.

The plan centers on:

  • Amplifying Black men’s voices in political discourse

  • Focusing on measurable impact over activity

  • Data-driven decision-making

  • Coordinated national alignment with strong local execution

  • Full compliance with 501(c)(4) and 501(c)(7) regulations

Leadership made clear that discipline, coordination, and accountability will define this cycle.

Targeted Federal and State Races

After applying demographic and electoral viability metrics, ONFA identified priority Senate races in:

  • Ohio

  • North Carolina

  • Georgia

  • Texas

  • Michigan

  • Illinois

Targeted House races include districts in North Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, and Illinois. Additionally, gubernatorial races in Ohio, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia are under strategic consideration.

Selection criteria included:

  • Minimum 10% Black voting age population

  • Winnability metrics

  • Presence of active Omega chapters

  • Turnout potential

  • Demographic alignment

The objective is simple: concentrate Omega resources where they can make the greatest electoral difference.

Re-Engaging Black Men Voters

A major focus of the strategy addresses declining turnout among Black men ages 18–44. Research presented during the webinar showed that younger voters are often disengaged not because they do not care, but because they feel unheard.

Key issues driving engagement include:

  • Economic opportunity and wealth building

  • Jobs and inflation

  • Taxes

  • Homeownership and affordable living

  • Criminal justice reform

  • Mental health access

ONFA leaders stressed that messaging must reflect the real priorities of Black men and young voters — especially those who have sat out recent elections.

The Black Man’s Agenda

One of the defining elements of the presentation was the introduction of “The Black Man’s Agenda.”

Core pillars include:

  • Economic opportunity and wealth building

  • Affordable housing and homeownership

  • Criminal justice reform and re-entry support

  • Voting access and political inclusion

  • Mental health and culturally competent care

  • Education and workforce pathways

  • Balanced media representation

Leadership emphasized that candidates seeking ONFA support must engage these issues directly and authentically.

Strengthening Infrastructure and Accountability

ONFA is strengthening its Voter Registration, Education & Mobilization (VREM) infrastructure through:

  • Quarterly chapter reporting

  • Data dashboards and performance tracking

  • Target race mapping

  • Digital engagement strategies

  • Undergraduate chapter mobilization

The emphasis is not on activity alone — but measurable outcomes. Chapters will report voter registrations, forums held, direct voter contact, partnerships, and innovative engagement efforts.

Legislative Threats to Watch

The webinar also addressed significant legislative and judicial developments that could impact the 2026 elections, including proposed federal voter ID legislation and ongoing Supreme Court challenges to Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.

Leaders warned that weakening federal voting protections could trigger widespread redistricting in southern states and significantly impact Black representation in Congress and state legislatures.

ONFA will continue monitoring these developments closely and respond where necessary.

Defining Success

Short-Term Goals:

  • Increase voter registration and turnout in priority districts

  • Strengthen visible Omega civic engagement presence

  • Re-engage low-propensity Black male voters

Long-Term Goals:

  • Sustain Omega political infrastructure

  • Increase recognition as a national force for civic engagement

  • Make a meaningful contribution to flipping or holding the House and Senate

Omega Network for Action made one thing clear: 2026 begins now.

Through data-driven strategy, disciplined mobilization, and a focused agenda rooted in the priorities of Black men and underserved communities, ONFA is positioning itself as a national leader in civic engagement.

The work is underway.
