JAMES E. CLYBURN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Established in 2021 by Omega Network For Action, the James E. Clyburn Leadership Institute (JECLI) serves as the organization’s training arm, dedicated to cultivating the next generation of legislative leaders.

Over a 12-month cohort, Fellows receive tools and mentorship to run effective, ethical campaigns. Topics include Campaign Financing, Organizing Principles, and Coalition Building.

For the 2025–2026 program year, JECLI has welcomed twelve Fellows: Shawn Gathers, William Hall, Clayton Harris, Ashton Hood, Marvin Jones, Rosalyn Matthews, Carl Miller, Alonzo Mitchell, Richard Allen Moore II, Anthony Nelson, Sherika Rimmer-Higgins, and Erickson Saye (pictured below)
